Eldred Twp.
Burglary. According to Warren-based state police, someone entered the Vrooman Excelsior Church, Oil Creek Rd., Grand Valley, between 1 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 p.m. Sunday and removed building materials valued at $1,000. Police said the following were removed: 60 sheets of insulation board, two half-round vents, eight Tanza 1x6x10-foot wide, 50 feet of 24 inch coil stock and a Craftsman circular saw. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.
Farmington Twp.
Theft. According to Warren-based state police, between Feb. 10 and Monday, someone stole a 12-gauge trap shotgun from the Jackson Run Rd. residence of David J. Nystrom, 46, of Warren.
Pittsfield Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a crash at 5:35 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Rt. 6 and Barton Run Rd. According to police, Jennifer L. Kiser, 20, of Warren was attempting to make a left turn onto Barton Run Rd. when she noticed a tractor trailer operated by Brian T. Palmer, of Indianapolis, Ind., approaching her vehicle at a high rate of speed. Police said in order to avoid Palmer, Kiser accelerated towards Barton Run Rd., hitting the front end of a vehicle operated by Brian E. Mohney, 39, of Pittsfield, who was eastbound on Rt. 6. According to police, Palmer avoided contact with Kiser by steering the tractor trailer to the left, leaving the roadway and striking a ditch. Police said Palmer traveled west in the ditch and the tractor trailer rolled over onto its passenger side. Police reported that Palmer was transported to Warren General Hospital for minor injuries. Police said all individuals involved said that they were wearing seatbelts.
Pleasant Twp.
Terroristic threats. According to Warren-based state police, at 9:45 p.m. Monday at 333 Thompson Island Lane, a known male threatened to commit a crime of violence against Nichole Moore, 24, of Sugar Grove. Police said the suspect left the scene before any crimes were committed. An investigation is ongoing.
Triumph Twp.
Criminal mischief. According to Warren-based state police, between 10 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday, someone smashed the mailbox of Keitha Waddell, of 159 Waddell Farm Lane, Pittsfield, with an unknown object. Police estimated the loss is $20. Anyone with information should contact the state police or CrimeStoppers.
Tidioute
Disorderly conduct. Aaron Kyle, 24, of 128 Main St., Tidioute, was arrested by Tidioute police on Monday and charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Police said at 5:55 p.m. Monday, outside of 128 Main St., Kyle kept yelling obscene language after being told to stop. According to police, Kyle was taken before District Justice Laura Bauer and committed to the Warren County Jail.
