Warren First United Methodist Church Creative Preschool is accepting applications for the 2009-10 school year. Preschool classes are in session from 9 to 11:15 a.m. and from 12:30 to 2:45 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The school participates in the EOC scholarship program. Families are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
The 3- and 4-year-old class emphasizes socialization and group interaction skills. The children are exposed to fine and gross motor coordination activities as well as early math and reading readiness. Art, music, cooking, physical fitness and fun enhance the curriculum.
In the pre-kindergarten class, a greater emphasis is placed on readiness in reading, math awareness and socialization in a group setting. Fine and gross motor skills are practiced with a mixture of games, music and free play. Cooking, art, gym, computer time and science experiments are part of the curriculum. Creative Preschool uses the same reading curriculum as the Warren County School District.
