Myra Williams, 68, of 124 Biddle Street, Warren, Pa. died Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2009 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born March 16, 1941 in Olean, N.Y. to the late Leslie and Esther Miller James. She resided 15 years in Warren and most of her life in Smethport, Pa. She was a 1959 graduate of Smethport High School.

Myra was employed with the Corning Glass Works of Bradford, Pa. for 27 years and with the Dale Electronics for five years.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Shick and her husband, Kevin, of Warren; two sisters, Mildred Lattin of Bradford, Pa., Marletta Willand and her husband, Butch, of Vestal, N.Y.; one brother, Melvin James and his wife, Diane, of Columbia, S.C.; two grandchildren, Angela and Anthony Shick of Warren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Merlin Sterling; four brothers, Merle, Marvin, Mert and Mike James.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa. on Wednesday from 12 noon until 1 p.m., where a funeral and committal service will be conducted by Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain of Warren General Hospital, officiating.
