Warren
DUI. Matthew C. Hovey, 33, of 220 Pennsylvania Ave. W. Apt. 2, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. July 18 by Warren city police after he was observed operating a mini-bike on East Fifth Ave. with no lighting or helmet. According to police, it is unlawful to operated off-road vehicles on roadways unless designated. Police said Hovey was charged with DUI, DUI highest blood alcohol, classes of licenses, operation on streets and highways, operation in a safe manner, registration required and required financial responsibility.
Harassment. Warren city police charged Brenda K. Knisley, 32, of 229 Pennsylvania Ave. W. Apt. 3, with harassment after she made several calls on July 17 to a known male after he told her to stop calling him.
Theft. Travis J. Larson, 28, of 439 Hammond St. Ext., was charged by Warren city police with theft and public drunkenness after he stole a bicycle at 1:17 a.m. Wednesday, which was parked in front of a Pennsylvania Ave. East tavern. According to police, Larson was observed riding the bicycle at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Hammond St. Police said the owner of the bicycle did not want to press charges but Larson was visibly intoxicated.
Brokenstraw Twp.
Found property. Warren-based state police reported that at 11:54 a.m. Wednesday a girl's 26-inch bicycle was recovered at the Youngsville BP gas station on Rt. 6, where it had been left for a few days. Police said the owner may claim the bicycle by calling 728-3600 and describing it.
Conewango Twp.
Defiant trespassing. Conewango township police reported that officers responded to 22 Beckett Park, North Warren on July 18 to a report that Thomas F. Lucks, 43, of Warren, was at the property after he was given several notifications against trespassing. Police said Lucks was told again by an authorized person to leave, but failed to do so. According to police, Lucks was charged with one count of defiant trespassing, a third degree misdemeanor.
Glade Twp.
Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that at 6:40 p.m. Thursday in the fields near Conewango Ave. at Hatch Drive, two known juveniles smashed approximately 20 tomatoes belonging to the Hatch Patch. Police said loss is estimated at $50.
Mead Twp.
Burglary. According to Warren-based state police, sometime between 6:30 p.m. Monday and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, someone entered the 6 Erie St. residence of Heidi Wilson, of Clarendon, when no one was home and removed money from her son's bedroom.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Sunday, someone entered the 2 Erie St. residence of Rebecca Grubbs, of Clarendon, and stole her son's iPod Touch mp3 player, which was black and silver; JVC headphones with bright red wires; and a bag of corn chips.
Theft. According to Warren-based state police, sometime between Monday and Tuesday a known suspect stole two personal checks from the residence of Debra Brown, 51, of Stone Hill Lane, Clarendon, and forged her name on both, cashing them for a total of $130.
Pine Grove Twp.
Burglary. According to Warren-based state police, sometime between July 1 and Tuesday, someone entered the 9 1/2 N. Main St. residence of Lisa Miller, of Russell, and removed a 57-inch Mitsubishi 1080 DLP flat screeb televison and a Dell 17-inch LCD monitor.
