Blaine LeRoy Miller, 64, of 12 Schantz Street, Warren, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, as a result of injuries sustained in a semi tractor/trailer accident.

Blaine was born on January 9, 1945, in Warren, the son of the late LeRoy and Mildred Anderson Miller. He was a 1962 graduate of Warren Area High School.

He worked with the Warren postal service from 1963 to 1966. He started his 42year career as a truck driver in 1966 with Masterson Transfer Co. and was with them until 2001. He then worked with NBS Trucking, Bradford, from 2002 to 2008 and most recently with Evans Equipment and Trucking Co., Butler, Ind. While with Masterson Transfer, he was awarded the 1 Million Mile Safety Award for driving one million miles accidentfree.

Blaine was a loving husband and a kind and compassionate father and grandfather. He enjoyed racing motorcycles, camping, hiking, and canoeing in his younger years and enjoyed riding motorcycles all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Irene Mrowiec Miller, Warren, whom he married on January 21, 1984; four sons, Bruce Miller and his wife Jennifer, Scottville, Mich., Tom Wojtkiewicz and his wife Maria, Pittsfield, Dan Wojtkiewicz , Warren, and Randy Wojtkiewicz, Parma, Ohio; five daughters, Laura Cross and her husband Alec, Scottsdale, Ariz., Susan VanGuilder and her husband Richard, Warren, Kristin Miller of Phoenix, Ariz., Cheryl Stover and her companion Mike Melquist, Youngsville, and Amanda Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Jones and her husband Philip, Russell, and Lorraine Knight, Bradford Pa.; his stepmother, Betty Miller, Bradford; 22 grandchildren, Ricky, Shannon, Blaine, Cody, and Brenden VanGuilder, Cotie and Natasha Snyder, Ashley Wojtkiewicz, Makayla and Aaron Melquist, Joshua Jones and Jacob Stover; Corey, Jasmine, Jonathon, and Maveric Wojtkiewicz, Noah and Ryan Wojtkiewicz, Alex and Matthew Ross, Maryn and Katie Cross; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother in October, 1971; his father in September, 1998; his sister, Dora Marie Miller at birth in January, 1943; his twin brother, Bruce Clarence Miller in February, 1945; and several aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours will be held for family and friends at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA., on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, from 24 p.m. and 79 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Grace United Methodist Church, Warren, at 11a.m. with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating. The burial will be immediately following the funeral service at Oakland Cemetery, Warren.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, In Memory of Blaine L. Miller, 1645 W. Eighth Street, Erie, PA 16505.
