EILEEN TENCATE
Eileen Faye Tencate, 71, of Warren, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Rouse Estates,Youngsville, where she has been a resident since 2002.
She was born January 12, 1938, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late James D. Overly and Ann Jessie McKean Overly. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Allen Tencate.
Faye graduated from South Union High School Class of 1955. She also graduated from Jamestown Business College with honors and attended Jamestown Community College. During her years in Warren, Faye worked for Warren Radiology, as an office manager for Seneca Eye Surgeons medical offices for 16 years, and for Dr. McNett before her retirement in 1996.
In addition to raising her family, Faye took great pride in her career. She was dedicated to the doctors and committed to the care of her patients. She also enjoyed remodeling and redecorating her homes. Through the years she enjoyed many opportiunities to travel with her husband and family. Faye was also an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Faye was a life long learner and continued her education throughtout her adult life.
Faye is survived by a daughter, Jamie Eileen Tencate Hasbrouck and husband Laurence of Warren; a son, Michael Stuart Tencate of Matthews, N.C.; a stepgranddaughter, Raeanne Elizabeth Hasbrouck; a brother, James M. Overly and wife Dee of Markleysburg, Pa.; a sister, Saundra O. Ferguson and husband A.D. Ferguson of Uniontown; and nephews Andrew D. Ferguson, III, J. Ronald Ferguson, Jeffrey H. Ferguson and Mark D. Ferguson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the Rouse Home Activities Room, Youngsville, PA from noon until 2 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Faye's life at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Briggs, officiating.
