Gina Marie Gabriel and David Lee Burke were united in marriage on March 28, 2009, at Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, N.C. Kenny Crosswhite performed the ceremony assisted by Pastor Buddy Pigg.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph and June Gabriel of North Warren. The groom is the son of Jim and Judy Burke of Mint Hill, N.C.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by matrons of honor, Maria Mandis and Mindy Simmons, her sisters. Bridesmaids were Stacy Powderly and Teresa Thackston. Flower girl was Anna Powderly.
Best man was Jim Burke, groom's father, and groomsmen were Greg Burke, groom's brother; David Newell; Tim Howard; and Sam Sells.
A reception followed the ceremony at Raceworld USA, Home of Michael Waltrip Racing.
The bride, a 1994 graduate of Warren Area High School, earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial management from Grove City College and an MBA from Kent State University. She is an operational improvement advisor with Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. Her husband graduated from Independence High School in1994 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design from UNC Charlotte. He is a threat and vulnerability analyst at TIAA-CREF, in Charlotte, N.C.
