Shirley Maxine Hepler, age 82, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Knox and Warren, died Tuesday evening, May 12, 2009 at her home, following a short illness.
Born August 14, 1926 in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late Robert Calvin and Blanche Mong Hepler.
She was a graduate of the Shippenville High School. She was the Physical Plant Manager at the University of California at Davis, a member of the United Community Church in Sun City Center and was a past member of the Zonta International.
Ms. Hepler enjoyed traveling abroad. She visited Italy, Russia, North Africa, Europe and, her favorite, China.
Survivors include three daughters, Judith Ann Webb and her husband, Larry, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Susan Jane Dorsey and her husband, Fred, of Gaithersburg, Md.; Donna Jo Snyder and her husband, Jeff, of Apollo Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Robert Webb, Jessica Winslow, Nicole Ratliff, Matthew Pferchy and Alicia Lee; four greatgrandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc. in Knox.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday in the funeral home. Rev. Chris Lewis will officiate.
Interment will follow at the St. Marks Cemetery in Kossuth.
