Loomis

Ken and Phyllis Loomis of 13 Melody Ln., Russell, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a dinner party at the Free Methodist Church recreation building in Sugar Grove on May 2. The celebration was hosted by their family.

The couple received white rose corsages and a centerpiece of daisies and white roses. White lighted arches accented the anniversary cake and punch bowl. Aides were Jody Loomis of Sugar Grove, who prepared the food, aided by Julie Harrington, who served. Guests attended from Sugar Grove, Warren, Spring Creek, and Rochester, N.Y.

The Loomises were married by the Rev. Carl Perrin on May 7, 1949, at United Brethren Church at Chandlers Valley.

The couple has four children, Kathy, Christine, Kenneth M. and Julie; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchidlren.
