Harassment. According to City of Warren police, a non-traffic citation was filed Friday charging Jimmy A. Bancroft, 55, 118 Cayuga Ave. with harassment for repeatedly following a female victim through town on her way to and from work, after police told him to stop.
Brokenstraw Twp.
Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that they are investigating an incident which occurred between 4:30 and 5 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, in which someone let the air out of three tires on a 1999 Dodge van belonging to Jessi Coccaro, of 12 Homestead Dr., Youngsville, while it was parked at that address. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Freehold Twp.
Burglary/theft. According to Corry-based state police, someone entered two separate residences between April 1 and April 30, one at 1342 Porter Hill Rd. and the other at 1220 Porter Hill Rd. and stole two long guns from each home, including a Remington Mod. Mohawk 600, .243 caliber Rifle with scope; a savage .270 caliber bolt action rifle, black synthetic stock, with scope; a Marlin 30-30 caliber lever action rifle; and a black 12 GA pump shotgun. Police listed Harold Huffman Jr., 42, Joseph Huffman, 22 and Harold Huffman Sr., all of Bear Lake, as victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 663-2043.
Pine Grove Twp.
Found stolen vehicle. Warren-based state police reported that at 10:18 a.m. Wednesday they recovered a Chevrolet Camaro left at Gouldtown Community Church, on Howard Rd., which had been reported stolen in New York state by Cherilyn Gagnon, of Cherry Creek, N.Y. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or PA Crime Stoppers.
Youngsville
Criminal mischief. According to Youngsville police, charges including several counts of criminal mischief, prowling and institutional vandalism, have been filed against two teenage boys in connection with March 7 vandalism of buildings, signs, a contractor's equipment, school buildings, Quality Market, Huey's Place and a resident's work utility trailer. Police said that a written allegation has been filed with the Juvenile Probation Department and that several calls to Crime Stoppers assisted police in solving these cases.
Criminal mischief. Youngsville police reported that charges have been filed against a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old male with the Juvenile Probation Department, after they allegedly damaged two vehicles during a Youngsville Elementary/Middle School dance. During the incident, Youngsville Elementary School staff member Deb Young had both sides of her car scratched with a sharp object, causing several thousands of dollars of damage to the paint, and staff member Kay Launer had a tire slashed on her vehicle, police said.
Criminal mischief. According to Youngsville police, Marilyn McKinney, of 30 W. Main St., Youngsville, reported that sometime between April 20 and April 21, someone knocked over her brick entrance fixtures causing them to break.
Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies arrested Derek Shirley, 20, of 12 Carriage Dr., Youngsville on Friday, on a supervisor's warrant issued from the Warren County Adult Probation Department for violations of his probation. Shirley was originally placed on probation for theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief, police said.
Disorderly conduct. According to Warren-based state police, male youths who were riding bicycles at 1 a.m. Thursday between the 400 and 500 block of E. Main St., Youngsville, kicked over garbage cans, threw garbage bags, threw a real estate sign onto the street, and reportedly knocked on the doors of residences. Police report than an abandoned yellow Specialized Fatboy BMX bicycle was located in the area, along with Nike sneakers and a Fox racing baseball cap.
