Six defendants enter guilty pleas
By LYDIA COTTRELL lcottrell@timesobserver.comSix defendants entered guilty pleas before Judge William Morgan last Thursday and another pleaded no contest during arraignment in Warren County Court.
Entering guilty pleas were:
Michael J. Faris, 14 Hinkle St., to retail theft.
Shad M. Gutshall, 1806 Pennsylvania Ave. E., to two counts of access device fraud. Two counts of forgery, one count of receiving stolen property and one count of theft by unlawful taking were not prosecuted. In a second case, Gutshall pleaded guilty to theft by deception and charges of forgery, access device fraud and receiving stolen property were not prosecuted. In a third case, Gutshall pleaded guilty to forgery and charges of access device fraud theft by deception receiving stolen property were not prosecuted.
Kristen Lynn Volpe, P.O. Box 418, Frewsburg, N.Y., to harassment.
Cheryl Williams, 2 S. Irvine St., to theft by deception. Two counts of bad checks and one count of theft by deceptions were not prosecuted. Williams will be remanded to full restitution.
Robert Jacob Willyoung, 20 Taylor Lane, Garland, to possession with intent to deliver. Two counts of criminal use of a communication facility and one count of possession with intent to deliver was not prosecuted. In a second case, charges of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility were not prosecuted. In a third case, Willyoung pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver and a charge of criminal use of a communication facility. As a part of the plea agreement, Willyoung will reimburse the Commonwealth for buy money used in the investigation and testing fees in all three cases.
Tiffani N. Christenson, 15 W. Third Ave., entered a no contest plea for a charge of terrorist threats. Charges of retaliation against prosecutor or judicial official and harassment were not prosecuted.
A bench warrant was issued for Daniel S. Muzzy, 207 Liberty St., who is charged with two counts of indecent assault.
