Soprano Chelci Leary was part of Clarion University's Concert Choir that performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, N.Y., Monday. Leary, a graduate of Warren Area High School and a daughter of Teena Leary of Warren, is a sophomore music education major at Clarion.

Sophie Dorn of 310 Songbird Rd., Warren, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester of the 2008-09 academic year at Edinboro University with a 4.0 grade average. She is majoring in elementary education, early childhood development and special education with a concentration in music. Dorn was inducted into the National Education Honor Society Kappa delta Pi during the semester. She is the daughter of Caroline and David Dorn of Warren and is a 2007 graduate of Warren Area High School.

Robert Gustafson of 224 Water St., Warren, was named to the dean's list with a 4.0 grade average for the second quarter of 2008-09 at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). A fifth-year student in RIT's Golisano College of Computer and Information Sciences, he is studying software engineering with a minor in computer science. He is the son of Randall and Celeste Gustafson of Warren and is a 2005 graduate of Warren Area High School.

David W. Tudor, son of Michele L. Farr and Dave Tudor of Warren, was named to the dean's list at Mercyhurst North East for the winter 2009 term. To earn dean's list status, a student must earn a grade average of 3.5 or better; he earned a 3.6. Tudor, a 2008 graduate of Warren Area High School, joined the U.S. Army, ROTC, and plans to be part of the Special Forces Unit. Tudor is majoring in criminology. After serving in the Army, he hopes to join the FBI.

Jaimee Lynne Jordan, daughter of Toby and Becky Jordan of Lottsville, has been named to the dean's list at Mercyhurst North East for the winter 2009 term. To be selected, students must earn a grade average of 3.5 or better. Jordan, a 2008 graduate of Eisenhower High School, is majoring in accounting. She works as a customer service manager at Harborcreek WalMart.

Rachel J. Sivak has been named to the dean's list at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., for the fall 2008 semester. She is a freshman majoring in interior design. A 2008 graduate of Youngsville High School, she is the daughter of Steve and Diane Sivak.
