WarrenTheft. According to Warren City police, a criminal complaint was filed at 12.40 p.m. Wednesday charging Michael J. Faris, 45, of 14 Hinkle St. with retail theft after he concealed a watch valued at $8.47 in a bag and left Crone's Drug Store, 212-214 Liberty St., without paying for it.
DUI. Warren City police reported that Steven J. Cable, 33, of 14 1/2 Park Ave. was taken into custody at 12:06 a.m. Saturday and charged with DUI general impairment, DUI highest rate of alcohol, tire equipment and traction surfaces, turning movements and required signals, after a traffic stop on Madison Ave. and Russell St., when he had a flat left front tire and was driving on the rim and failed to use a turn signal when making a turn from N. Carver St. onto Madison Ave.
Warrant arrest. According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested James R. Sorenson, 28, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on a bench warrant issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas for failure to appear in court. Sorenson was placed in the Warren County Prison pending further court action, police said.
Conewango Twp.
Crash. According to Conewango Township police, Beverly Repine of Warren pulled out of the Pickle's Restaurant parking lot, 1043 Market St., North Warren, at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and into the path of another vehicle driven by Eugene Merritt, Tidioute, and was struck in the driver's side, causing both vehicles to become undriveable. Two people were injured in the accident and were transported to Warren General Hospital via the North Warren Fire Department Ambulance. Repine was subsequently charged with vehicles entering or crossing a roadway, police said.
Eldred Twp.
Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police reported that a citation was filed Wednesday charging Amy Sharp, 26, of Titusville following an incident between 9 and 9:10 p.m. Thursday, in which she threw a potted plant at the residence of Robert Bernard, 40, of Grand Valley at the intersection of Route 27 and Emerson Hill Rd., then spun mud onto the residence with her 2005 Jeep Liberty.
Farmington Twp.
Theft. According to Warren-based state police, a 14-year-old male reported that between 3 and 5:30 p.m. Monday his IPod Touch, valued at $230, was stolen at Eisenhower High School. The IPod has since been recovered and a suspect is known, said police, who are continuing the investigation.
Glade Twp.
Harassment. According to Warren-based state police, a non-traffic citation was filed at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday charging a 12-year-old male with harassment after he struck an eight-year-old male on the side of the face with a rubber band, while the the two were riding the school bus on Cobham Park Road.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that a non-traffic citation was filed at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday charging a 16-year-old male with harassment after he struck a 12-year-old male on the head, while the two were riding the school bus on Cobham Park Road.
Disorderly conduct. According to Warren-based state police, a known juvenile grabbed a 14-year-old male by the throat at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Warren Area High School and threw him against a locker.
Mead Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that a 10-year-old male and an 11-year-old male were involved in a physical altercation at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Wilderness Trailer Park.
Attempted burglary. According to Warren-based state police, Harry Lyon, 51, of 7 1/2 S. Main St., Clarendon, reported that between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday an unknown individual attempted to pry his door open, causing damage. Anyone with information is asked to call the state police or Crime Stoppers.
Pittsfield Twp.
Warrant arrest. The Warren County Sheriff's Office reported that with assistance from Warren County Adult Probation officers, Nathan Daley, 29, of 7820 Oil Creek Rd., Garland, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on two bench warrants issued by the Warren County Court of Common Pleas Domestic Relations section for failure to appear, and was placed in Warren County Prison pending further court action.
Pleasant Twp.
Theft. According to Warren-based state police, sometime between 4 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, an unknown individual entered the vehicle of Brenda K. Smith, 51, of Warren, while it was parked at Blair Irvine and took $400 cash. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Attempted burglary. Warren-based state police reported that sometime between 5:30 p.m. Monday and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, someone arrived at the residence of Sheryl L. Vanord, 47, of Warren, and damaged several windows while attempting to gain entry, then fled undetected. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
