WarrenHarassment. According to City of Warren police, a citation was filed Monday charging Justin L. Morely, 25, of 1927 PA Ave. E. Apt. C with harassment, after a female filed a complaint that he grabbed her inappropriately at a local tavern at 12:41 a.m. Saturday.
DUI. City of Warren police reported that Denny L. Steber, 45, of 550 Kinzua Rd., was taken into custody at 2:30 a.m. Monday and charged with DUI highest rate of alcohol, DUI general impairment and periods for required lighted lamps, after a traffic stop at PA and Russell for driving without headlamps on.
Probation violation. According to the Warren County Adult Probation Department, with assistance from the Warren County Sheriff's Department, officers arrested Aaron A. Johnson, 40, of 117 N. South St., who was originally placed on probation for charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats, on a Supervisor's Warrant on charges of violation of probation. Johnson was committed to the Warren County Jail on Monday pending further court action, police said.
Probation violation. The Warren County Adult Probation Department reported that with assistance from the Warren City Police Department, Pennsylvania State parole officers arrested Michael B. Baxter, 25, of 608 Conewango Ave., Warren, on charges of violation of probation. Baxter, who was originally placed on probation for charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, was arrested on a Supervisor's Warrant on Monday and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action, police said.
Farmington Twp.
DUI crash. According to Warren-based state police, Richard A. Eck Jr., 49, of 12 Firstmill St., Sheffield, was traveling north on Rt. 66 at 8:21 p.m. Saturday, when he lost control of his 2002 Chevrolet Cavelier and struck the east guiderail, then the west guiderail and then the east guiderail a second time, before coming to a final rest facing northeast against the east guiderail. Eck, who sustained moderate injuries, was subsequently arrested for DUI, with charges forthcoming, pending chemical blood test results, police said.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police reported that Todd E. Eklund, 39, of Warren, was driving his 1997 Ford F-150 southbound on Rt. 62 at the intersection of Beechwood Rd. at 12:10 a.m. Monday, when he fell asleep at the wheel and drifted across the northbound lane, then off the left side of the highway, making impact with a utility pole, shearing it off, then continuing off the highway, running over a mailbox and hitting an embankment, causing it to roll over, coming to a final rest right side up, facing east. Eklund was transported via North Warren VFD EMS to Warren General Hospital with moderate injuries, police said.
Wayne Twp., Erie Co.
Burglary/theft. According to Corry-based state police, David H. Tremblay, 77, of Youngsville, reported that someone removed various items of farm machinery, vehicles and other industrial tools, along with a trailer and other miscelaneous items from his property, house and barns, located at 16585 Buffalo Rd., one mile north of Wheelock Rd. at 2 p.m. on March 3. The value of the stolen property is $15,050 and an investigation continues, police said.
