Crash. A Warren man was charged after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Market Street on Saturday, Jan. 3. Police said Samuel John Dominick, 45, of 108 Oak St., Apt. 301, was cited for careless driving and driving while license suspended after he was driving westbound on Pennsylvania at 1:07 p.m. and his car struck a vehicle driven by Gayle Tachoir, of 114 Water St. Police said Tachoir was stopped at a red light and Dominick said his car slid on the small stones on the road, causing the crash. No injuries and only minor damage to both vehicles were reported.

Clarendon

Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that between 3:05 and 3:10 p.m. on Monday, a 10-year-old juvenile and an 11-year-old juvenile were throwing balls of snow and ice at each other on Brown Ave. According to police, the 10-year-old pushed a ball of snow and ice into the 11-year-old's face, causing an eye injury.

Conewango Twp.

Crash. Conewango Township police reported that Stacey Simmers, 27, Warren, lost control of her vehicle while traveling east on Rt. 69, near Logan Rd. Simmers' vehicle left the right side of the roadway, traveling down a 6-foot embankment, police said. According to police, neither Simmers nor her two passengers reported an injury. However, Jedidiah Badgely, 22, Jamestown, NY was found to be in possession of a prohibited, offensive weapon, a knife, police said. Police said that Simmers' other passenger, Justin Hazelton, 19, Jamestown, was found to be in an intoxicated state, which subsequently led to on summary count of underage drinking. Simmers' vehicle was towed back onto the roadway and driven from the scene, police said.

Disorderly conduct. According to Warren-based state police, Herbert E. Simmons III, 55, Warren, was charged at 4:18 p.m. on Sunday, following an investigation into a reported explosion that occurred at a residence along Rt. 6, near Yankee Bush Rd. Simmons detonated a large explosive in his front yard that cause alarm to passing motorists, police said.

Glade Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at midnight on Dec. 31, Robert Main, 69, was involved in a crash in which he lost control on the snow/ ice covered roadway, Hemlock Rd. Main's vehicle, a 2000 Jeep, left the roadway and traveled of the south berm, impacting a large tree, police said. According to police, the vehicle continued rolling onto its passenger's side, coming to rest in the east bound lane.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, a crash occurred at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 31, in which Susan Huckabone, 67, Warren, was traveling east on 5th Ave. Ext. Police said Huckabone lost control of her vehicle, a 2006 Buick, due to the snow covered roadway. The vehicle traveled off the south berm and into an embankment, coming to rest facing east, police said.

Pittsfield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, Daniel Dorman, 51, Tidioute, was traveling east on Rt. 6, while approaching Miles Run Rd., at which time, his vehicle, a 1997 Ford F-250 truck left the roadway, broke through the guiderail, traveled down a small embankment, and proceeded to roll over. Police said that in the process of rolling over, Dorman was ejected from the truck. Dorman was flown from the scene of the crash to Hamot Trauma Center, police said. According to police, the investigation continues and Dorman is in fair condition. State police were assisted by Youngsville and Wrightsville VFD, as well as Life Flight.
