Robert E. and Lenora A. (Steffens) Wencil of Grand Valley recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. An open house at the Stillwater Lodge #547, Youngsville, was well attended by family, friends and loved ones.
A poem dedicated to the happy couple was written by Diana Larson portraying the family members and love that was started by Bob and Lenora. The poem included a line about each child, grandchild, and great grandchild. Special music was offered by Kristi Eck, Kellie Farnsworth and Sarah Wencil. A photo slideshow of the couple and family through the years was created by Kellie Farnsworth. Photo Memories of the event were taken by Dave Snyder of Warren.
The couple was united in marriage on Nov. 1, 1958, at the EUB Church in Grand Valley by the Rev. Rex Meleen. Mr. Wencil retired from PennDOT in 1991. Mrs. Wencil retired from Wesley Woods in 1992. They love the outdoors and spending time with their family and nine grandchildren and three great-grand children.
