Raynor Signs With Mercyhurst Tennis Team

Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, has signed Chautauqua Lake Central School athlete and county tennis champion Jenna Raynor to its women’s tennis team and awarded her an academic/athletic scholarship. From left, Chautauqua Lake tennis coach Susan Teets and Jenna’s parents, Mark and Amy Raynor, look on as Jenna signs a letter of intent to play tennis for the NCAA Division II school. At right are high school principal Rosemary Andrews and assistant principal Josh Liddell, who supervises Chautauqua Lake athletic programs. The Chautauqua Lake girls’ varsity tennis team were Division II champions for 2008, and Jenna was named MVP. She was also one of seven team members who were named Scholar Athletes for achieving a team grade point average over 90 percent.
