Varsity Football

Sherman picked up its first victory of the season, 28-26, over Hinsdale.

A.J. Reid had two three touchdowns for the Wildcats (1-6). He had 117 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving. Jeff Maynard had 54 yards rushing and Mike Reed had 103 yards passing. Ben Crane had 16 tackles and one sack on defense.



Girls Volleyball

Sherman defeated Ellicottville, 23-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-16.

Michelle Persons had 18 kills and Rachael Ottaway had 13 kills for the Wildcats. Nicole Lindstrom had nine kills and Beth Gribble had 32 assists.



Cross Country

In the girls meet, Sherman finished with 15 points followed by Franklinville with 45 points. Falconer and Silver Creek fielded incomplete teams.

Alyssa Cole and Holly Allenson finished third and fourth for the Wildcats. Lindsay Alday and Cheryl Sbetz were sixth and seventh followed by Rachel Ottoway and Nicole Damcott.



In the boys race, Falconer had 43 points followed by Sherman with 46 points and Silver Creek with 57 points. Franklinville had 66 points.

Peter Oldani was second and Dustin Phelps was sixth for the Wildcats.
