Mischief. Warren-based state police are investigating an incident that occurred between 10:45 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday in which a cinder block was used to strike the hood of a truck owned by Robert Mattern, of Warren, causing a severe dent and scratches.
Lost Property. Warren-based state police reported that on Saturday, Jamie Parkin, Union City, reported that she lost her high school graduation class ring at Jake's Rocks, on the foot trail. Police describe the ring as being Corry Area High School class of 2002, sterling silver, with a sapphire stone, initials JAH inscribed on the band.
Pine Grove Twp.
Rape. Louis Robert Flick, 46, an inmate at State Correctional Institution - Houtzdale, has been charged with two counts each of rape, statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, indecent exposure, and corruption of minors, police said. According to police, an investigation revealed that Flick had frequently sexually molested two children under the age of 13 between February and November 1999 at residences in Pine Grove Township and in Crawford County.
Pittsfield Twp.
Simple Possession. According to Warren-based state police, Brian Allen Scharrer, 19, 49 Drew Ellie Lane, Pittsfield, was involved in an incident that was under investigation, and was found to have active arrest warrants. Scharrer was located at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at his residence and found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. Police said that Scharrer was committed to the Warren County Jail on active warrants and further action is pending.
Southwest Twp.
DUI Crash. According to Warren-based state police, a crash occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said that Nicole A. Blair, Erie, was traveling east on Tidioute Enterprize Rd., when, for unknown reasons, she left the north edge of the roadway, where her vehicle impacted a tree. Blair left the scene, headed in an eastern direction, police said. Police said that both Blair and her vehicle were found on the road, and after investigation, Blair was found to be DUI and was arrested.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Fraud/Forgery. Warren-based state police reported that at 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 15, Paul E. Landin, Sugar Grove, attempted to purchase a $3,500.00 ATV through the internet. Police said that the transaction was proven to be a scam. An investigation continues and police are asking everyone to use extreme caution when purchasing any items over the internet, as they may become a victim of such scams.
