Brownie Troop 30906 recently participated in a day of fun at Grace United Methodist Church. The girls worked on several projects that helped them earn Try-It badges. They had a great time decorating shirts, pants and headbands, and they prepared their own lunch of taco pizza, baked apples and a fizzy fruit fun drink.
Brett Fallon visited with a donation of a "bedazzler" and shared in their lunch experience. He also donated a child's sewing machine so the Scouts can earn their Sew It Badge. Assisting the girls were leaders Kingsley Reese and Jennifer Oliphant with volunteer Jessie Smalley.
The girls worked on four of seven Try-It badges planned for the day: Make-It-Eat-It, Manners, Art to Wear and Safety Sense. It was a great way to spend a non-school day.
