George and Doris Day Burkland of Fredonia, N.Y., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family in August. They were married Aug. 6, 1948, in Jamestown, N.Y. The couple formerly owned the Record Insurance and Real Estate Agency in Silver Creek, N.Y. They have three children, Nancy (Fred) Wurst of Alpheretta, Ga.; Michael Burkland of Fredonia; and the late Stephen Burkland, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Burkland is originally from Warren County.
