Vandevort-Roberts

Wendy Roberts and Steven Vandevort were married at 3:30 p.m. on June 21, 2008, at Sharon First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Jeffery D. Sterling officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Bettelou Roberts of Hadley, Pa. The groom is the son of Dale and Maureen Vandevort of Harmony, Pa.

Wedding music was provided by organist Dr. Elizabeth Harrison.

The bride was attended by matron of honor Erin Woods, bride's sister, and by bridesmaids Shawna Hays, bride's cousin; Natalie Green, Mandy Fritz and Jessica Masters, friends of the bride; and JoJo Norco, groom's aunt. Flower girl was Tara Woods, bride's niece.

Best man was Cameron Vandevort, groom's brother. Groomsmen included Andy Pilch, friend of the groom; Trevor Roberts, brother of the bride; and Michael VanEman, David Flynn and Sean VanEman, cousins of the groom.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Corinthian in Sharon.

The bride graduated from Commodore Perry High School in 2000 and from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education. She is a special education teacher at Sheffield Middle-Senior High School. The groom graduated from Union Area High School in 1999 and earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is employed at Ellwood National Steel, Irvine, as a quality engineer.

Following a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple resides at 1284 Conewango Ave., Warren.
