The couple was married on June 21, 1958, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Beaver County, Pa. They have three children, Pat Merkovsky and her husband, Josh, of Grayslake, Ill.; Sue Heasley and her husband, Dave, of Monroeville, Pa.; and John Wallace of Tionesta.
Mrs. Wallace is a cancer survivor, and the couple and their family have participated in the Koman Race for the Cure in Pittsburgh for the last 15 years. Mr. Wallace was employed by Penn State University as the Forest County Extension Director. Mrs. Wallace retired from Forest Area School District as a school nurse.
