Clymer Central School

In the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association meet, Clymer’s Nick Lombardozzi won the 100 meters and was a member of the winning 1,600-meter relay team. The event was held at Randolph Central School.

Chautauqua Lake’s Cody Gleason won the 110 hurdles and the 400 hurdles.

Clymer’s Mallory Deuink won the 400 and was a part of two winning relay teams.


Pine Valley defeated Clymer, 10-4.

In the Section VI tournament, Clymer defeated North Collins, 9-1.

Kate Wiggers was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts.

Andrea Lictus had two triples while Tara Bailey had three singles for the Pirates. Jen Rhodes and Julie Williams doubled for the Pirates.


West Valley defeated Clymer, 5-4, in the Section VI tournament.

Thanks to a walk, single and two errors, Clymer scored three runs in the top of the third inning.

West Valley responded with five runs in the bottom of the third.

Clymer scored a run in the top of the seventh inning. Andrew Bemis singled, stole second, went to third on a passed ball and scored on a groundout to cut the lead to 5-4. The Pirates had a runner at second but a strikeout ended the game.

Jon Wade was the losing pitcher with six strikeouts and four walks. He also had two hits.
