He was born May 13, 1911 in Warren, Pa., to the late Harry J. and Mary E. Gray Wilson. He has resided in Russell since 1968, moving there from Warren.
He was employed with the former National Forge Company for 37 years as a foreman in the finishing dept., retiring from there in 1973.
Harry was a master carpenter and enjoyed woodworking, traveling and taking drives, looking for deer and turkey. He especially enjoyed birdwatching, especially the orioles.
Harry was especially devoted to his family, especially his daughters.
He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church of Frewsburg, N.Y. and a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Harry belonged to the former Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Warren Eagle Club.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda and Cheryl Wilson, both of Russell, Pa.; his son, Craig Wilson and his wife, Patty, of South Gate, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Monica Jerman Wilson, who died June 23, 1999; one brother, Allen F. Wilson; and one sister , Alice K. Wilson.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Frewsburg, N.Y., with Rev. Fr. Robert Stolinski, pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Mike Lennon. Interment will be in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
