The Westfield Skate Park is open. Hours and rules are posted at the park. Helmets are required.
Summer Youth Program
Sign-Ups
June 3 & 5 are the dates for sign-ups for a number of summer youth programs in the Village of Westfield. Sign-ups will be held at the Eason Hall from 6 – 8 p.m. for the following programs:
n Swim lessons for all ages from infants (water acclimation program) through lifesaving and swim team.
n Welch Field Summer Program of games, sports, crafts, trips, street hockey, special events (carnival, triathlon, 3v3 basketball, family bonfire) etc.
n Drama Workshop
n Library Programs
n YWCA Programs

Fishing & Casting Derby
For Kids
The annual Fishing and Casting Derby for Kids will be held Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westfield Fish and Game Club on Ogden Road. The derby is for all children in the area, ages 5 to 12. There is no charge and lunch will be provided.
A parent or guardian must be in attendance. Participants should bring a pole and bait (no minnows). A limited number of poles and a shovel will be available. This event is co-sponsored by Hooked on Fishing International, Wal-Mart, Westfield Fish and Game Club and the Westfield Recreation Department. High School/Adult Summer Basketball League
If you want to play some basketball this summer, the Village Recreation Department is offering a summer basketball league. The new league will run in conjunction with the Rec. Dept.’s weightlifting/basketball summer program that takes place at Westfield School. The league is open to all adults and high school aged kids who are looking to play in a fun and competitive basketball league. The league will run from June 30 to August 6. To sign up for the league call Mike Putney at 969-1152. The cut-off date for signups is June 1. Your team captain will call you to let you know when your first game is, so be sure to leave a number when you call.

In The Park
As summer is rapidly approaching, we are looking forward to our Movies in the Park program. If you would like to sponsor a movie night, please contact the Recreation Dept. at 326-4243.
Help With Yard Work,
Odd Jobs
Westfield residents needing help with yard work and odd jobs are asked to call the Westfield Recreation Department at 326-4243 and we will assist in arranging for a local teen to help.

Rails & Tales Of New Hampshire Trip
We will be traveling to New Hampshire, October 19-22, 2008. This trip will include four days and three nights lodging, three breakfasts, three full course dinners, including dinner on the Lake Winnipesaukee Railroad, M/S Mt. Washington cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee, Wolfeboro Village, Castle in the Clouds, Rock Estates, Mt. Washington Cog Railway, a souvenir, taxes and std. gratuities, luggage handling and motor coach transportation. Price: $584.00 per person (DO). Payment may be made in installments.
