Baseball

Westfield won the Division 3 title with a 12-1 victory over Forestville.

The Wolverines scored in every one of the five innings against the Hornets.

Tim Orlando was the winning pitcher. Mitch Kyser had a two-run single while Marcus Cuevas added a two-run single for the Wolverines. Orlando also had a two-run single.

The Wolverines finished the regular season with a 17-0 record following an 8-6 victory over Panama.

Cuevas had two singles and two runs scored for the Wolverines. Nick Quagliana added a double and one run and John Blynt had a double.

Josh Cole had an RBI single and Cody DiDomenico had two hits and one RBI for the Panthers.

Golf

The team of Mike Lucie (Westfield), Ryan Roache (Sherman), Don Einhouse (Forestville) and Derek Hosier (Panama) won the sixth annual Brocton Invitational Golf Tournament at Sugar Hill Golf Course.

Roache sank a 30-foot putt to break a 36-all tie with the team of Taylor Rosenberg (Maple Grove), Mark Belcher (Brocton) and Mike Laspada (Sherman).

The team of Jacob Genthner (Westfield), Spencer Johnson (Forestville), Tyler Marsh (Panama) and Jillian Markham (Brocton) took third with a 37.

Track

In a girls meet, Westfield defeated Cassadaga Valley, 77-61.

Alanna Causebrook won the shot put and discus for the Wolverines. Sarah Myers won the 400 meters and Emily Parker won the 800 meters.

Softball

Bre Meleen had a double, triple and home run to lead Westfield past Forestville, 9-1.

Meleen had a three-run home run during five-run fourth inning for the Wolverines. Danni Riley had three hits including a triple and Jill Scarpine tripled, doubled and scored twice. Kaylee Wilson had a double and two singles. Scarpine and Kylen Tennis combined to pitch a two-hitter on the mound.

Jill Scarpine had five strikeouts and two walks to lead Westfield past Pine Valley, 7-1.

Meleen had an RBI double while Natalie Luder added a two-run double for the Wolverines.
