FOUNDRYVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Two people are dead in a pair of fires that broke out late Friday and early Saturday.
Officials say a mobile home in Foundryville, just outside Berwick in central Pennsylvania, caught fire after 10:30 p.m. Friday, killing 57-year-old Michael Rupp. The fire was discovered by his wife, who came home to wake her husband for his third-shift job and saw the flames.
The cause remains under investigation.
A second fire broke out just before 1:30 a.m in a rowhouse in Chester Township outside Philadelphia, killing the occupant. Residents in adjoining homes escaped the flames. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Investigators are looking for a cause.
