Wisconsin man accused of harassing NJ officials

April 9, 2014

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — A Wisconsin man has been charged with threatening a New Jersey judge and 27 others in retaliation for a parking offense filed against his wife.

Authorities say 29-year-old Michael Rinderle of Waukesha, Wis., last year filed liens against a municipal court judge in Voorhees as well as police and court staff in that community and others to retaliate.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says Rinderle identifies with the Sovereign Citizen movement and claims that laws do not pertain to him.

He is not in custody but is due in court next week in Pennsylvania to face similar charges.

Officials say he's also being investigated in Burlington and Gloucester Counties in New Jersey.
