Scandal-tested Gov. Christie sworn into 2nd term

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has taken the oath of office for his second term while he deals with a growing scandal and a snowstorm.

Organizers canceled Christie's planned inaugural party at Ellis Island because a winter storm threatens to dump up to a foot of snow on the region Tuesday.

The Republican, who is considered a potential presidential candidate, is expected to stress bipartisanship and diversity in his inaugural address.

Christie isn't expected to directly mention investigations into his administration's apparently politically motivated decision to close approach lanes to the George Washington Bridge in September, causing a traffic backup. He also faces allegations that his administration linked Superstorm Sandy aid to approval for a real estate project.
