I-81 partially reopens in central Pa. after crash

November 20, 2013
Associated Press

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Transportation officials say a stretch of Interstate 81 has partially reopened in central Pennsylvania after a multi-vehicle accident.

The state's traffic alert website says the southbound lanes of I-81 are open between exits 10 and 14 near Chambersburg. But the northbound side remains closed.

State police say a tractor-trailer collided with two other vehicles Tuesday evening, injuring several people. Authorities say the truck driver fled the scene.

A detour has been posted, but motorists should expect major delays.
