PITTSBURGH (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed an emergency room greeter at a hospital.
Authorities say 30-year-old Justin Michael Delfratte of Sharpsville allegedly stabbed Sharon Regional Health System employee Linda Clark in the neck on Sunday evening. The hospital is about 70 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
Delfratte was reportedly disgruntled because he had been discharged from the emergency room after being refused narcotic pain medication, the Sharon Herald (http://bit.ly/HSq6Qi ) reports.
The Health System says in a press release that Clark was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was in critical condition.
Delfratte is charged with attempted homicide and is being held at the Mercer County jail, unable to post $500,000 bond. No attorney was listed on court papers.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20.
