SHARON, Pa. (AP) — A local school official is identifying two western Pennsylvania high school football players killed in a crash a night before a scheduled playoff game.
Sharon City School District Superintendent Mike Calla told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Saturday that Corey Swartz and Evan Gill died Friday night.
Calla says two other players, twins Greg and Craig Osmon, were injured and are being treated at a hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
Authorities say the crash killed a third person and injured two other children.
The Sharon High School football team had been scheduled to play Girard High School in Erie. The game is rescheduled for Monday night.
Sharon police and the Mercer County coroner haven't responded to messages seeking details.
