NORTH VERSAILLES, Pa. (AP) — Authorities in western Pennsylvania have released the names of a man and woman found dead in a home in a Pittsburgh suburb in what police are calling an apparent murder-suicide.
The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the two as 48-year-old Mark Hoey and 45-year-old Erin Hoey.
Their bodies were found in their home in North Versailles (VER'-sayls) on Tuesday morning. Autopsies are scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death.
Police have declined to say whether a weapon was found in the home or how they are believed to have died.
Neighbor Jacky Orrick described the couple as "just your average, friendly neighbors" but said they kept to themselves.
She said the family dog was removed unharmed from the home.
