LEBANON, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania man is facing charges of theft and evidence tampering after police alleged he snatched a dye-stained $50 bill from a bank robbery scene.

Lebanon police say 35-year-old Michael Lucera attempted to pay a fine at the Lebanon County Adult Probation Office with the red dye-stained bill on Oct. 18.

Police said there had been a robbery earlier in the day and the fleeing thief left a trail of bills stained from an exploding dye pack inside the bag.

Fifty-seven-year-old Louis Jones has been arrested and charged with the bank robbery.

It couldn't immediately be determined if either of the men had attorneys.
