DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A woman who acknowledged having driven the getaway car in the suburban Philadelphia slaying of a popular musician almost two years ago has had her case transferred to juvenile court.
Prosecutors in Bucks County didn't oppose the defense petition on behalf of the now-19-year-old Falls woman, citing her testimony against co-defendants from Trenton, N.J..
The Bucks County Courier Times (http://bit.ly/HcdkMc ) says she was 17 at the time of the December 2011 slaying of 56-year-old Danny DeGennaro of Levittown during a botched home invasion robbery.
Jurors earlier this month convicted 22-year-old Breon Powell of first-degree murder and recommended a life term without possibility parole. Twenty-year-old Jermaine Jackson of Trenton was sentenced to life. Nineteen-year-old Kazair Gist of Trenton, also a juvenile at the time, faces up to life in prison.
