SAINT CLAIR, Pa. (AP) — State police are trying to determine whether a fire that destroyed the office of an eastern Pennsylvania storage business is connected to break-ins at eight different storage units at the same business.
Troopers from the Frackville barracks say the fire was reported about 5:30 a.m. Sunday at Saint Clair Storage in East Norwegian Township. That's near Pottsville.
The fire caused about $400,000 damage.
Investigators later determined the padlocks had been cut off eight separate storage units at the facility.
Police were still attempting to determine the cause of the fire, which prompted crews to close nearby roads for hours while firefighters responded.
