Bodies of woman, boy found after Philly fire

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A fire marshal says an apartment fire in Philadelphia where the bodies of a woman and boy were found was intentionally set.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Saturday ( ) that the bodies were recovered earlier in the day in a bedroom closet inside a first-floor apartment.

The paper says police aren't saying whether the victims died as a result of the fire.

Neighbors tell the Inquirer they saw smoke coming from the building around 9 a.m.

The fire took place on Howell Street in the city's Wissinoming neighborhood.
