DA: More arrests possible in Pa. drugstore slaying

September 24, 2013
Associated Press

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — A prosecutor says more people might have been involved in last week's shooting death of a southeastern Pennsylvania drugstore manager.

Authorities in Delaware County have arrested a Philadelphia man and woman in the slaying of 40-year-old Jason McClay of Broomall in Chester on Thursday.

But District Attorney Jack Whelan told The Delaware County Daily Times ( ) that investigators are looking into the possibility that the two didn't act alone. He declined to say more on the subject.

Authorities allege that 24-year-old David Wiggins and 23-year-old Rita Pultro walked into the Rite Aid store minutes before closing and asked McClay for help with a product. Witnesses said a struggle ensued and the Navy veteran was shot.
