Pennsylvania woman struck by car, killed in Mass.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police say a 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman has been struck and killed by a car in Cambridge.

The woman was struck by a car driven by a 38-year-old Chelsea man at about 7:40 p.m. Monday on Alewife Brook Parkway, near a shopping mall and the Alewife Station subway and bus terminal.

No names were immediately released pending notification of family, but police say the victim was from Chambersburg, Pa.

She was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital where she died of her injuries.

The death remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
