Second woman dies after Pa. senior shuttle crash

September 23, 2013
Associated Press

INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — A second woman has died after a senior citizens' shuttle bus crashed in western Pennsylvania earlier this month.

Indiana County Deputy Coroner Jerry Overman says tests to pinpoint 79-year-old Kathryn Reeger's cause of death will take weeks to complete, but said it appears the Shelocta woman's death on Friday was related to the Sept. 4 crash.

The Indiana Gazette (http://bit.ly/1dDksN5 ) reports that's when the shuttle crashed on its way to the White Township SeniorCARE facility near Indiana, Pa. That's about 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

Police say the shuttle's 20-year-old driver ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle, but that man has yet to be charged while state police finish their investigation.

Another of the three passengers, 70-year-old Sondra Livingston, of Homer City, died later that day of head injuries.
