BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania county is canceling its contract with a woman who provided court-ordered domestic counseling now that she's charged with falsely reporting one such client sexually assaulted her to cover up her affair with the man.
WJAC-TV (http://bit.ly/15lqufZ ) reports Centre County officials have terminated their contract with Actions Counseling Services in Bellefonte, which is owned by 50-year-old Cindy Brumbaugh.
The Howard woman was charged last week with filing a false police report. Troopers in Bellefonte say the woman claimed she was assaulted by a Centre County court client after her husband found out she was in a car crash with the client last month. In reality, police say the woman was covering her tracks because she had spent the night in a motel with the client.
Brumbaugh hasn't returned calls to her business.
