CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Police say they've arrested a man in the shooting death of a southeastern Pennsylvania drugstore manager during an apparent robbery attempt.

WPVI-TV reports ( ) police said Saturday they arrested 24-year-old David Wiggins in Philadelphia and will charge him with homicide in the killing of 40-year-old Jason Scott McClay of Broomall.

Authorities say the suspects walked into a Rite Aid in Chester just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

They say a scuffle ensued and McClay was shot in the head and later pronounced dead at the scene. His father, Bruce McClay, says Jason had expressed concern for his safety, especially because Rite Aid had posted no security guard in the store.

Police say they're still searching for a woman who accompanied Wiggins in the store.
