PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say violence claimed the lives of one man and injured several others in the Philadelphia area over the weekend.
The Philadelphia Inquirer (http://bit.ly/17QUF0m ) says a 33-year-old man was found dead Sunday afternoon in the entrance to a north Philadelphia speakeasy. Officials said it wasn't clear from his injuries whether he had been stabbed or shot.
A 16-year-old youth was shot early Sunday outside a Chinese takeout in north Philadelphia. Police say he was taken to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition.
In Manayunk early Sunday, a 35-year-old man shot three times in the chest near a nightclub was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. Another man also shot was listed as stable.
Stabbings also injured several other people in different parts of the city.
