Mr. Morse was a graduate of Westfield High School. He served four years in the Army Air Corps during World War II, spending two years overseas. After his tour of duty, he worked for Farr Lumber Company in Westfield until 1953.
He owned and operated South Side Builders Supply until his retirement in 1975. He built many area homes and was known for his casual, friendly attitude.
A member of the Westfield Moose Club, he was a devoted family man.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Morse, whom he married June 22, 1946; three daughters, Kay M. Gulick of St. Augustine, Fla., Anne M. Roggenbaum of Westfield and Lori Morse-Prein of Lakeside, Ariz; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one cousin.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Cheryl Jeanne and Cynthia Lou.
