It's simple. This county can only support one high school. The district is doomed because people refused make the tough but only appropriate choice.

Let's go Knights! Let's go Dragons! Let's go Wolverines! Let's go Eagles!

It's not the smartest voice that get's heard it's the whiniest and loudest.

It just doesn't seem ok to cut education yet spend money for central air and sound proofing the new central office(Russell Elementary). The children and staff seemed to do fine without it. As for consolidating, they overdid it at WAEC. 946 children in a school built for 700 children just isn't right. If they are going to consolidate, they really need to do it in a responsible way. As for declining enrollment, I believe alot of it can be contributed to parents getting fed up with the system and homeschooling or sending their children to private schools or Tidioute Charter.

Why not get rid of a few of those vehicles sitting doing nothing out in the parking lots. I fail to see the need for that many. And get rid of all the a/c units. How much do those cost to run every year? They can sweat like everyone else.

With fewer school buildings, fewer teachers are needed, because we won't be paying for travel time, and classes can be consolidated. So this is an expected benefit of having fewer buildings.
