Yet another example of the federal government being too big and not accountable. Can anyone say Obamacare. I really hate it when the tea party is correct when they say we need a smaller government.

What should be done is to close all overseas bases and eliminate all overseas military spending, which of course is not defense spending at all. That would really save a ton of money.

And, with the savings we could really ramp up true defense spending, that is domestic protection of our own borders. We could have military patrols of the entire border with Mexico, with orders to shoot on sight any illegal aliens trying to sneak into the country.

That would really discourage illegal immigration after the Mexicans realize they are being targeted as enemy combatants!
