Ask anybody associated with WGH about what just happened to their LPNs. It's hard to argue with the commissioners when WGH cites profitability as a motive for their brutal human resources policies.

You don't have to worry Olin, when UPMC takes over and all the staff is part-time, and the maintenance & housekeeping staff are gone because those positions are non-union farmed out jobs and the CEO's pay will be eliminated. They will be able to afford the tax.

A tip of the hat to you Mr. Neal. I agree completely with your analysis. If this community seeks to prosper and grow, it must abandon its short sighted economic viewpoint. Would we be better off economically if Pitt was located here instead of Bradford? If the Federal prison was located here instead of Bradford? If a controlled vacation and resort development had moved forward on the Kinzua reservoir? Choices have consequences, and removing tax incentives for businesses and employers translates to loss of jobs. Just ask the former Rexnord employees.
