@MTOMTO, are you trying to say something that people don't know? Marijuana really isn't any kind of problem at all. Even up in Colorado where it's legal, it's not a problem, except, of course to those who are so uptight and believes anything the government tells them. LOL

I don't think anyone wants to even look at that "heathen devil weed, marijuana" (quote from a movie) in Warren County. NEWS FLASH: Marijuana is a plant, not a drug, but some people just refuse to use common sense, especially Warren County's judges. They're brutal. And anyone that thinks either one of them are soft on crime is very sadly mistaken.

Alcohol and tobacco are not presciption drugs. The tax is the same as taxing gasoline. It is a use tax. Presciption marijuana could only be taxed at 6% same as any purchased item. Don't see how this would be any "taxing opportunity" or how this makes him a Neanderthal. He is about to raise the gas tax .28 cents. How do you feel about that opportunity?? Did it raise him to Cro-Magnum?

It's difficult to believe that Governor Corbett would pass up a new taxing opportunity unless, of course; the interested parties are at odds with his cartel of campaign contributors. Pennsylvania has been in the drug business for decades by taxing tobacco and alcohol. I'd like to see anyone deny that beer and liquor aren't "gateway" drugs for alcoholism.
