You want government to run like a business.

HAHAHAHA, now that's funny right there I don't care who you are.

There is no accountability in government. You realize the lady in charge of is still employed don't you?

If such a thing happened at Amazon, the CIO would be gone. The CIO wouldn't be in front of the board stating, oh don't worry we'll be able take orders next month.

Until their is quantifiable accountability, there will never be a way for others to truly audit the efficiency and operation of these organizations.

My opinion is that both organizations should be allowed until 6/1/14 to develop an action plan with concrete milestones based on the funding allotment for 2013. The plans will be reviewed and the better plan chosen for the following year. One year after receiving the funding, if the organization chosen has not achieved 75% of their milestones, the other organization will be chosen for the following year. Funding will only be given to an organization that submits yearly plans with measureable goals, reports on the previous year, and a 5 year plan that incorporates both of the previous reports.

I am not speaking of a 5 page grandiose statement that gave no concrete objectives or quantifiable results that could be measured from the receipt of the funds. All I get is "increased" this and "grow" that. I want to see actual objectives. Something to the effect of "with 15% of the TPA we will increase the daily individual IP hits on our website by 33%". This gives those of us that care the ability to track and see if you are spending money on things that grow tourism, or if it is just going to help out those related to the body that distributes the funds.

Neither party in their proposal has given anything that can be construed as measureable and offers a means of a
